About Dorothy Parker and Ernest Hemingway

Were They Ever Lovers?

Ernest Hemingway and Dorothy Parker crossed paths though out their careers.  There is evidence they socialized in Paris in 1926 and in Hollywood before the war.  Hemingway even gave a private screening to her and her friends of his film about the Spanish Civil War.  We will never know if, at any time, they were actually lovers for the autobiography Dorothy was working on mysteriously disappeared after her death.

In the musical "Room Enough For Two" the Dorothy character reminences about her love for Hemingway and one of her last words were "did Hemingway really like me?"
